Sistem penamaan rilis Ubuntu mengandung keunikan tersendiri. Anda lihat keunikannya? Perhatikan versi rilis dengan waktu rilisnya. Versinya merupakan tahun.bulan dari waktu rilis dari versi tersebut. Contohnya, Ubuntu 10.04 dirilis pada tahun 2010 bulan ke 04. Maka bisa diramalkan rilis berikutnya adalah Ubuntu 11.04.
Keunikan berikutnya di nama sandinya. Selalu terdiri dari dua kata dengan huruf awal yang sama. Contoh: Warty Warthog, Jaunty Jackalope, Maverick Meerkat, dll. Dan uniknya, sejak rilis 6.06 di tahun 2006, sandi namanya selalu berurutan sesuai dengan abjad. Unik kan?
Nah, itu baru namanya saja yang unik. Kalau Anda mau mencoba sistem operasi Ubuntu, Anda akan menemukan keunikan dan keajaiban lainnya.
