[id]Kemarin dikejutkan dengan sebuah kasus di Ubuntu 13.04. Saat mau menginstall printer, ternyata password root yang saya masukkan tidak diterima. Ketika lewat Terminal dimasukkan perintah “sudo su”, malah keluar tulisan “… is not in the sudoers file”. Setelah saya teliti, ternyata user account saya berubah dari Administrator menjadi Standard. Intinya, saya kehilangan akun Administrator saya, sehingga tidak punya hak akses root.
Di Ubuntu, ini bisa jadi masalah yang pelik. Karena beberapa hal mengharuskan akses root, termasuk menginstall aplikasi-aplikasi baru, hingga perintah-perintah penting di Terminal.
Rupanya solusinya cukup mudah, meskipun sempat bingung juga.
Langkah 1. Restart komputer.
Langkah 2. Masuk ke GRUB dan pilih Recovery Mode
Langkah 3. Pilih mode root. Di sini kita akan dibawa pada Ubuntu versi teks.
Langkah 4. Ketikkan perintah-perintah berikut:
mount -o rw,remount /
adduser <username> sudo
exit
Pada <username> silakan masukkan username Anda. Misal username Anda adalah “linux”, maka perintahnya menjadi adduser linux sudo.
Sekarang, Anda sudah mendapatkan kembali hak akses sebagai Administrator.[/id]

Step 1. Restart the computer.

Step 4. Type these commands:
mount -o re,remount /
adduser <username> sudo
exit
Type your own username. For example, if your username is “linux”, the command: adduser linux sudo. Now, you have our Administrator account again.[/en]
