Terutama terhadap proyek-proyek yang selama ini ada di bawah Sun, di antaranya adalah Java dan OpenOffice.org.<\/p>\n<p>Rupanya komunitas OpenOffice sudah mengambil keputusan untuk melepaskan diri dari Oracle, sebagaimana keterangan pers mereka pada tanggal 28 September 2010 kemarin. Untuk baca press-release mereka, silakan klik <a href=\"http:\/\/www.documentfoundation.org\/contact\/tdf_release.xml\">di sini<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam keterangan pers tersebut, komunitas OpenOffice.org sudah berganti nama menjadi &#8220;The Document Foundation&#8221; dengan alamat situs di <a href=\"http:\/\/www.documentfoundation.org\/\">http:\/\/www.documentfoundation.org\/<\/a>. Sementara aplikasi office yang dibuat diberi nama baru Libre Office. Sebenarnya komunitas ini masih ingin mempertahankan nama OpenOffice.org yang selama ini sudah dikenal dunia, tetapi perbincangan dengan pihak Oracle hingga sekarang belum menemui titik temu, hingga dibuat keputusan demikian.<\/p>\n<p>Dengan keputusan ini, beberapa pihak open source sudah memberikan dukungannya secara langsung. Bahkan\u00a0Mark Shuttleworth, pemilik Canocical yang membuat Ubuntu sudah menyatakan bahwa Ubuntu akan dengan senang hati mempaketkan LibreOffice di Ubuntu rilis berikutnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dari pengalaman ini, saya bisa menyimpulkan bahwa komunitas open source akan sanggup menemukan jalannya sendiri, bahkan di saat ada hambatan yang besar. Libre Office versi beta sudah dapat didownload melalui <a href=\"http:\/\/libreoffice.org\/\">http:\/\/libreoffice.org\/<\/a>.
