Pernah lihat film The Prince of Egypt? Saya baru melihatnya beberapa hari yang lalu. Iya, saya tahu itu film lama (1998), ‘kan saya pernah bilang kalau saya lebih suka menonton film kalau sudah kadaluwarsa. Ada salah satu lagu di dalam film itu yang menarik hati saya, judulnya \u201cThrough Heaven’s Eyes\u201d.<\/p>\n

A single thread in a tapestry <\/em>

\nCan never see its purpose <\/em>
\nIn the pattern of the grand design<\/em><\/p>\n

And the stone that sits on the very top <\/em>
\nOf the mountain’s mighty face <\/em>

So how can you see what your life is worth <\/em>
\nOr where your value lies? <\/em>
\nYou can never see through the eyes of man <\/em>
\nYou must look at your life <\/em>
\nLook at your life through heaven’s eyes<\/em><\/p>\n

A lake of gold in the desert sand <\/em>
\nIs less than a cool fresh spring <\/em>
\nAnd to one lost sheep, a shepherd boy <\/em>
\nIs greater than the richest king <\/em>
\nIf a man lose ev’rything he owns <\/em>
\nHas he truly lost his worth? <\/em>
\nOr is it the beginning <\/em>
\nOf a new and brighter birth?<\/em><\/p>\n

So how do you measure the worth of a man <\/em>
\nIn wealth or strength or size? <\/em>
\nIn how much he gained or how much he gave? <\/em>
\nThe answer will come <\/em>
\nThe answer will come to him who tries <\/em>
\nTo look at his life through heaven’s eyes<\/em><\/p>\n

And that’s why we share all we have with you <\/em>
\nThough there’s little to be found <\/em>

No life can escape being blown about <\/em>
\nBy the winds of change and chance <\/em>

\nDengan apa yang dia bangun atau dia beli?
\nEngkau tidak dapat menilainya dengan mata duniawi
\nLihatlah hidupmu melalui mata surgawi<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bagaimana mata surgawi menilai betapa berharganya kita? Sekarang lihat bagaimana The Message memfarafrasekan Roma 12:3,<\/p>\n

The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what He does for us, not by what we are and what we do for Him.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Jelas nilai diri kita tidak ditentukan oleh apa yang kita punyai atau apa yang tidak kita punyai, bukan oleh apa yang kita kerjakan atau tidak kita kerjakan untuk Dia, bukan dengan aktivitas pelayanan-pelayanan gerejawi yang kita kerjakan, tetapi oleh apa yang Dia kerjakan bagi kita.<\/p>\n

Kalau Sang Putra Surgawi sendiri turun dari Surga untuk Anda, dan mati serta bangkit untuk Anda, menurut Anda seberapa berhargakah kita di hadapan-Nya? Jika sebegitu berharga nilai kita di hadapan Tuhan, lalu bagaimana? Apakah kita akan terus membiarkan hidup kita dalam lumpur dosa?[1<\/a>]<\/sup><\/p>\n\n
