\"reading-bible-blue\"[en]Lazarus, Mary, and Martha experienced well when Jesus delayed His help.<\/p>\n

(1) And there was a certain sick one, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.<\/span><\/p>\n

(2) (And it was that Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)<\/span><\/p>\n

(3) Then his sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.<\/span><\/p>\n

(4) When Jesus heard, He said, This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God might be glorified by it.<\/span><\/p>\n

(5) And Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.<\/span><\/p>\n

(6) Therefore, when He had heard that he was sick, then indeed He remained two days in the place where He was.<\/span><\/p>\n

(7) Then after that He said to the disciples, Let us go into Judea again.<\/span><\/p>\n

(8) The disciples said to Him, Rabbi, the Jews lately have sought to stone You, and do You go there again?<\/span><\/p>\n

(9) Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble because he sees the light of the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

(10) But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles because there is no light in him.<\/span><\/p>\n

(11) He said these things; and after that He said to them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps. But I go so that I may awaken him out of sleep.<\/span><\/p>\n

(12) Then His disciples said, Lord, if he sleeps, he will get well.<\/span><\/p>\n

(13) But Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He had spoken of taking rest in sleep.<\/span><\/p>\n

(14) Then Jesus said to them plainly, Lazarus is dead.<\/span><\/p>\n

(15) And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, in order that you may believe. But let us go to him.[1<\/a>]<\/sup><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sometimes Jesus delay His time to help us. Yes, we always say that He has made everything beautiful in His time[2<\/a>]<\/sup>, but Jesus has His own reasons why He sometimes delay to answer us.<\/p>\n

Read verse 4, \u201c… but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God might be glorified by it.\u201d<\/em> When something happened to us \u2013 even the worst \u2013 let’s remember this, that it is not about you, it is not about me, it is not about us, it is about the glory of God \u2013 to glorify the Son of God.<\/p>\n

Then we can read in verse 15, \u201c… I am glad for your sakes …\u201d<\/em>, why? \u201c… in order that you may believe.\u201d<\/em> Pay attention in this statement! Jesus glads when we may believe more and more in Him. Even if He need to delay His answer in order that we may believe, He will do that.<\/p>\n

But, I have a more important question to you. What if He is not just delay His help, but also He say NO<\/strong><\/em><\/span> to you?[\/en]<\/p>\n

\"reading-bible-blue\"[id]Lazarus, Maria, dan Marta sangat tahu apa artinya sebuah penundaan.<\/p>\n

(1) Ada seorang yang sedang sakit, namanya Lazarus. Ia tinggal di Betania, kampung Maria dan adiknya Marta.<\/span><\/p>\n

(2) Maria ialah perempuan yang pernah meminyaki kaki Tuhan dengan minyak mur dan menyekanya dengan rambutnya.<\/span><\/p>\n

(3) Dan Lazarus yang sakit itu adalah saudaranya. Kedua perempuan itu mengirim kabar kepada Yesus: “Tuhan, dia yang Engkau kasihi, sakit.”<\/span><\/p>\n

(4) Ketika Yesus mendengar kabar itu, Ia berkata: “Penyakit itu tidak akan membawa kematian, tetapi akan menyatakan kemuliaan Allah, sebab oleh penyakit itu Anak Allah akan dimuliakan.”<\/span><\/p>\n

(5) Yesus memang mengasihi Marta dan kakaknya dan Lazarus.<\/span><\/p>\n

(6) Namun setelah didengar-Nya, bahwa Lazarus sakit, Ia sengaja tinggal dua hari lagi di tempat, di mana Ia berada;<\/span><\/p>\n

(7) tetapi sesudah itu Ia berkata kepada murid-murid-Nya: “Mari kita kembali lagi ke Yudea.”<\/span><\/p>\n

(8) Murid-murid itu berkata kepada-Nya: “Rabi, baru-baru ini orang-orang Yahudi mencoba melempari Engkau, masih maukah Engkau kembali ke sana?”<\/span><\/p>\n

(9) Jawab Yesus: “Bukankah ada dua belas jam dalam satu hari? Siapa yang berjalan pada siang hari, kakinya tidak terantuk, karena ia melihat terang dunia ini.<\/span><\/p>\n

(10) Tetapi jikalau seorang berjalan pada malam hari, kakinya terantuk, karena terang tidak ada di dalam dirinya.”<\/span><\/p>\n

(11) Demikianlah perkataan-Nya, dan sesudah itu Ia berkata kepada mereka: “Lazarus, saudara kita, telah tertidur, tetapi Aku pergi ke sana untuk membangunkan dia dari tidurnya.”<\/span><\/p>\n

(12) Maka kata murid-murid itu kepada-Nya: “Tuhan, jikalau ia tertidur, ia akan sembuh.”<\/span><\/p>\n

(13) Tetapi maksud Yesus ialah tertidur dalam arti mati, sedangkan sangka mereka Yesus berkata tentang tertidur dalam arti biasa.<\/span><\/p>\n

(14) Karena itu Yesus berkata dengan terus terang: “Lazarus sudah mati;<\/span><\/p>\n

(15) tetapi syukurlah Aku tidak hadir pada waktu itu, sebab demikian lebih baik bagimu, supaya kamu dapat belajar percaya. Marilah kita pergi sekarang kepadanya.”[3<\/a>]<\/sup><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Saya rasa pengalaman cukup mengajarkan kita kalau kadangkala Tuhan Yesus menunda memberikan pertolongan-Nya. Ya, kita sering berkata kalau Ia membuat segala sesuatu indah pada waktunya [4<\/a>]<\/sup>, tetapi Kristus punya alasan-Nya sendiri tentang hal ini.<\/p>\n

Baca ayat 4, \u201c… akan menyatakan kemuliaan Allah, … Anak Allah akan dimuliakan.\u201d<\/em> Saat sesuatu terjadi dalam hidup kita \u2013 bahkan yang terburuk sekalipun \u2013 ingatlah hal ini, ini bukan tentang Anda, bukan tentang saya, bukan tentang kita, melainkan tentang kemuliaan Allah \u2013 supaya Anak Allah dimuliakan.<\/p>\n

Selanjutnya di ayat 15, \u201csebab demikian lebih baik bagimu …\u201d<\/em>, percayalah dengan keputusan-keputusan Allah. Kalau sampai Kristus menunda menjawab kita, itu pasti lebih baik bagi kita. Mengapa? \u201c… supaya kamu dapat belajar percaya\u201d<\/em>. Perhatikan bagaimana Tuhan Yesus bersyukur untuk hal ini. Adalah kesukaan bagi Dia, jika kita dapat terus belajar percaya kepada-Nya. Kalaupun harus dengan cara-cara yang sukar, asalkan kita dapat terus belajar percaya, Dia akan melakukannya.<\/p>\n

Tapi, saya punya sebuah pertanyaan yang lebih penting untuk Anda. Bagaimana jika Dia tidak sekedar menunda pertolongan-Nya, tetapi sekaligus Dia mengatakan TIDAK<\/strong><\/em><\/span> kepada Anda?[\/id]<\/p>\n\n
