Now, we have a modern Christmas culture. When we celebrate Christmas, we do it by feast and party. Is that wrong? I can’t answer that, but I feel that we should look into the Bible about that.

I do think that Christmas is about humbleness and servanthood. Our Jesus chose to leave the glorious heaven and born in a manger. Off course He could choose to be born in a great palace or at least in a house of a rich family. What do you think about that? Is it about humbleness and servanthood?

Our Jesus also chose Joseph and Mary to be His earthly father and mother. Who were they? Joseph was only a carpenter, and Mary also did not knows come from a prosperous family. Mary also came from the town of Nazareth. Do you know that in the biblical time, Nazareth was known as a hometown of criminal people. People usually said, “Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?” (John 1:46).

One of my friend said that Jesus never want us to celebrate His birthday, and I agree with him. There is none verse in Bible tell us to celebrate Christmas. So, how will we celebrate Christmas this year?

I think that we have to reform our paradigm about Christmas like how our Jesus thought about His own birthday.
